Effective Jan 1, 2009

I have found over the many years I have done counseling that some clients, especially adolescents, need a little extra support between appointments.  I have done this free of charge for many years.  It have become such a popular part of my practice that I am now incorporating it into my work week - and will be charging for this service for clients who find this beneficial.  Insurance does not pay for this service.

If you are interested in this service, or feel your adolescent would benefit from this between sessions, please let me know.  The rate for this service is as follows.  The client will have a credit card on file so that when an email transaction occurs a charge can be made to the credit card.

I charge emails in blocks of time.  Such as:
$25.00 for anything less than 15 minutes
$40.00 for 15 minutes
$75.00 for 30 minutes
$90.00 for 45 minutes
$125.00 for 60 minutes

Email

Internet Counseling:  (via e-mail)
Internet counseling is charged in increments of time that I take to respond to your questions and concerns.  Billing is done in increments of 15 minute time periods - if the time falls outside of one of the times listed it is bumped up to the next charge.  Charges are not pro-rated.

On-line Counseling is convenient for some individuals that travel or who just find it hard to get to my office.  INSURANCE DOES NOT PAY FOR ON-LINE COUNSELING - YET!    Hopefully in the near future insurance companies will realize the importance of on-line counseling and pay for these services as they do face-to-face counseling services.

Insurance

I do accept and am considered IN NETWORK for the following insurance companies:

Principal Financial
Healthspan Preferred
Allied Benefit Systems
Wellsprings
Alliance
Custom Design Benefits

I no longer accept (and am considered out-of-network) for the following insurance companies:

NOTE:  Many of the below out-of-Network Insurance companies I participate in provide out-of-network benefits.  I have many clients who utilize their out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement of some of my charges. This means that my client pays my entire charge (fee) up front.  Then my client can submit the invoice I provide to them - to their insurance company for reimbursement of a portion of my charges.  Most insurance companies (that provide out-of-network benefits) will reimburse anywhere bewteen 45%-55%  for out-of-network charges.  However, it is up to the client to call and determine if out-of-network benefits are available with their insurance plan, and how much of Kelley's charges would be reimbursed.
