As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns of dysfunctional behavior. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.

I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths and to identify and achieve life goals.


NEW!     I am very excited to be able to offer some new groups for children with social issues, anxiety, grief, and self-esteem issues. I also provide a special group for children with Selective Mutism. These groups are run on an as needed basis for 6 weeks - 1 hour sessions.  The group includes many craft supplies for projects, workbooks and dramatic play for children.  I also request a 45 min assessment of the child for appropriateness for the groups (child and parent/s must have me evaluate the child prior to admittance to the group) there is a $90.00 fee for this assessment.  No more than 6-8 children will be in the group at one time. Ages range from 5-8 in children's group and 8-12 in older children's groups.The group is held in my play therapy room.

NEW!   It is so difficult for my families to get all the children together to come in for family therapy sessions, that I have found that it is easier at times for one person (me) to come to the family.  Therefore, I am now offering in-home family counseling or parent training to my clients. This service is NOT insurance reimbursable, and is a little more expensive due to gas prices and the extra time it takes me to drive to your home. 

Some research has indicated that at times meeting with families in their natural environment can be more helpful than in a counselors office due to decreased anxiety, comfort level, etc. This new treatment modality has been received extremely well over the past few months. If you are interested n this new innovative therapeutic approach to counseling, please do not hesitate to contact me through my website.  Prices vary depending on distance to locations.  Hourly rates for in-home sessions are $150.00 per  hour/session. Driving time is not included in this price.  (Driving time is based on distance). I do not usually travel South of the 275 Interstate.
